Shana Lacerenza

I’m excited to be part of your student’s educational journey here at Cooley Middle School!

Over the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving students, families, and communities in a variety of roles—as a Social Studies teacher, school counselor, and now as an administrator. For the past three years, I’ve been an administrator in Higley Unified School District, and I’m excited to bring that experience to the amazing community at Cooley.

Originally from New York, I graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and eventually made my way to Arizona, where I’ve lived for the past 14 years. I’m also a proud parent of energetic 9-year-old twins who keep me very busy on and off the baseball and softball fields. When I’m not at school or on the sidelines, we love spending boating out on the lake, and always with our lake three beloved goldendoodles too—I’m a huge dog lover!

I’m truly looking forward to being your new Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, and having a fun filled school year getting to know students and their families!
